SD County Fire Station 44 Wins DBIA National Award of Merit
The Design-Build Institute of America has awarded the San Diego County Fire Station 44 a Project/Team National Merit Award in the Federal / State / County / Municipal Category. As the use of design-build continues to grow in all sectors with nearly half of all construction dollars to be spent on design-build projects, so has the number of extraordinary project successes.
“From huge multi-million-dollar infrastructure projects to a small community animal shelter, the incredible diversity in this year’s national design-build winners shows very clearly how design-build is changing the way America builds. The power of collaboration has energized our industry and delivered impressive innovation, resiliency and value to the communities these projects serve. DBIA is proud to honor this year’s national design-build project and team winners. They are truly the best of the best and leading the way by designing and building some of the nation’s most remarkable projects.”…Lisa Washington, CAE, DBIA Executive Director/CEO
DBIA’s 2019 award-winning projects were evaluated by a distinguished panel of experts in design-build project delivery. A full list of project winners, including photos and descriptions of each project can be found online at DBIA’s Project/Team Awards page. Each of these Merit Award winners will now go on to compete for a National Award of Excellence and Project of the Year to be announced at DBIA’s Design-Build Conference and Expo Awards Ceremony in November.
