The new 8,300-square-foot station is placed in the heart of Vacaville’s developing community. The station will staff 5 full time fire fighters, however the station is built to sleep 9.
COAR Design Group (formerly JKA) worked closely with the City of Vacaville as well as T.B. Penick, our design build partner, to provide construction documents for bidding, including specifications, cost estimates, and construction administration services. The site includes a backup generator, fuel station, trash enclosure, and an area for engraved memorial bricks. The building includes a two bay apparatus bay, runout area, hose storage, workshop, storage areas, laundry areas, medical storage, decontamination room, exercise room and patio, kitchen and day room, office and copy room, as well as 5 bunk rooms, 3 restrooms and a tech room.
