Admin Building

The new Vacaville Corporation Yard Administration building consists of 4,600 square feet of office and support spaces. The building includes eight individual offices that surround a central collaboration area for informal meetings and interaction. There are clerestory windows above the collaboration area to incorporate natural light which helps to encourage productivity and contributes to a healthy work environment. A break room and workroom are located adjacent to the offices.

The entry area is separated from the office spaces for security and privacy and includes a lobby with workstations for staff. It also includes an accessible restroom and a conference room. There are glass storefront windows in the lobby to enable reception staff to monitor the vehicular gate and give access for deliveries.

The stone facade and stucco exterior material pulls its color scheme from surrounding buildings both on site and nearby for a more traditional feel.

Building B

The renovation of existing Building B included larger restroom facilities, a shower room, renovated kitchen area, four private offices, and meeting spaces for streets and facilities staff. Lockers are provided for storage within the meeting spaces and the lunchroom includes counters for workspaces as well as an open communal area. A metal canopy was added along the front of the building for weather protection and the entire building exterior was updated with a fresh coat of paint.
