This Design Build project was part of SeaWorld San Diego’s master plan to provide classroom and dorm facilities for their overnight camp program. Located at the entry to the park this facility provides a strong visual presence. The design of the facility incorporates playful colors and forms appropriate for the children’s programs offered held there.
The project featured a 20,000, two story dorm facility to house 150 campers. Also included in the facility were 3 large classrooms to accommodate the education programs for the campers. The project also included a 1,200 SF buffet-style food serving facility.
Design and Construction duration was approximately 14 months and included expedited construction schedules to make the June opening date to accommodate the summer camp programs.
