COAR Design Group (formerly JKA) completed a renovation of the existing swim recreation center for the City of Poway. This project involved the preparation of plans, specification, and estimates for the rehabilitation of the existing Poway Swim Center. Our team’s scope in this two-phase rehabilitation included replacing existing pool heaters with high efficiency external heat exchangers, installing a new variable drive system and pool circulation pumps, installing a new pool acid bulk storage system, replacing the existing filter system, replacing the pool plaster and pool deck, and replacing the 3-meter dive platform and foundation. In the other phase, work included a new admin building and entry to the facility, locker room improvements, additional restrooms, new storage and pool mechanical spaces, and a spray ground.
